On Thursday, 8. june 2017, the German-Danish innovationday took place at the University of Southern Denmark in Sønderborg. The event showed the current state of affairs of the topic digitalisation, what requirements there are for the competences of the employees and the state of affairs of digitalisation in the traffic area by German and Danish examples.
New media reports and studies about “Digitalisation” and “Industry 4.0” are published nearly every day. There is talk of the industry of the future, even of a fourth industrial revolution. Revolutions are above all – exhausting. The actors have to lay their habits to rest and set out to a fairly unknown future in many ways. This requires patience, a pioneering spirit and the willingness to deal with something new and inconvenient. One example would be the network competences of the employees.
A lot of companies are also missing specific starting points of which products, services or business models they should start with. Especially smaller and midsize companies are looking for practice-oriented support and suggestions for their first steps. Industry 4.0 presents the companies with a challenge in many ways: If the execution is done consequently, the way of producing and working will change completely.
Afterwards the participants had time to network and to exchange views with the speakers at the Danish “Frokost”.
